Which Beatbot pool robot fits the real workload?

Start with the zones and debris that must be cleaned, then compare runtime, filtration, retrieval and station work. This comparison does not reward an available commission or a higher price.

Five checks before choosing

  1. Record whether the pool is in-ground or above-ground, plus its shape, finish and depth.
  2. Measure the floor and shallow platforms instead of relying only on advertised square footage.
  3. Choose the zones actually required: floor, walls, waterline, surface or platforms.
  4. Match leaves, sand and fine debris to the basket volume and filter fineness.
  5. Plan charging, lifting, rinsing and indoor freeze-safe storage before buying.

Routine all-area cleaning without surface skimming

Beatbot Sora 30

Sora 30 cleans the floor, walls, waterline and sufficiently large shallow platforms. Its 2026 official record emphasizes long submerged runtime and strong flow without adding a surface-skimming mode.

Cleaning zones
Floor, walls, waterline, shallow platforms
Floor runtime
Up to 5 hours
Maximum coverage
3,229 sq ft
Flow rate
6,800 GPH
Filter basket
5.2 L; 150 µm included

Decisive limit: It does not clean floating surface debris; shallow platforms need at least 8 inches of water and a 3.3 × 3.3 ft footprint.

AI-guided five-function cleaning without a self-cleaning station

Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra

AquaSense 2 Ultra combines floor, walls, waterline, surface and water clarification. AI mapping and debris targeting distinguish it from the regular AquaSense 2, while charging and filter care still remain manual ownership tasks.

Cleaning zones
Surface, floor, walls, waterline, clarification
Runtime
Up to 10 h surface; 5 h floor
Maximum coverage
3,444 sq ft
Battery
13,400 mAh
Filtration

Maximum automation with filter washing and debris transfer

Beatbot AquaSense X

AquaSense X is the station-based flagship. The AstroRinse station rinses the filter, transfers debris to a 22 L bin and recharges the robot after full-pool cleaning.

Cleaning zones
Surface, floor, walls, waterline, platforms, clarification
Station
3-minute filter rinse; 22 L debris bin
Runtime
Up to 10 h surface; 5 h submerged
Flow rate
6,800 GPH
Station size
25.1 × 21.1 × 22.0 in

Decisive limit: The station weighs 41.9 lb, needs flat space near power, water, drainage and Wi-Fi, and does not eliminate every manual maintenance task.

How to read the shortlist

Automation changes chores, not pool compatibility

Choose Sora 30 when submerged routine cleaning is enough. Move to Sora 70 when surface debris is recurring. AquaSense 2 trades surface work for a wireless dock and three-zone cleaning. AquaSense 2 Ultra adds surface cleaning, clarification and AI guidance. AquaSense X is justified only when its large installed station and automatic filter workflow fit the site and materially reduce repeated maintenance.
